Having grown up sweeping sawdust from the floor of his father's furniture studio, Pavel developed an early respect for the rigorous process of making things.
Upon receiving his undergraduate degree in Marketing at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Pavel spent several years in the restaurant design department of a large F&B company. His responsibilities there included program management, vendor management, and FF&E procurement for over 50 new restaurants per year.
Wishing to return to his field of study, he took an entry-level business development job at a technology start-up in Prague, Czech Republic. There, he was eventually promoted to Head of Business Development, responsible for a total overhaul of the company's sales and marketing strategy.
Joining SPF:a in 2021 marked his return to SoCal and to the field of design, this time to (hopefully) do a bit more than sweep floors...
