You're Invited: Preservation in an Age of Urbanization (10/30)
SurveyLA, the most comprehensive survey of historic resources ever in an American City, is complete, and LA Conservancy, the leading advocate for preservation in Los Angeles, is now more than 30 years old. Understanding where the movement is headed now is critical to development in Los Angeles.
SPF:architects' Zoltan Pali, FAIA, joins the Urban Land Institute's latest evening panel event to examine the practical issues of maintaining and developing these assets in an urbanizing environment, and forward, to evolving areas of preservation: new State and City legislation, contemporary infill, sustainability and legacy business protections.
The panel will also include speakers Ken Bernstein, Principal City Planner, Manager, Office of Historic Resources; Adrian Scott Fine, Director of Advocacy, LA Conservancy; David Abasta, Development Director, Gaw Capital (USA); and Henry van Moyland who will moderate.
