Zoltan Pali Talks Los Angeles Luxury with Mansion Global
"The clean lines, the blurred boundary between inside and outside and the sometimes breathtaking geometric forms that define architect Zoltan Pali’s designs carry the Modernist torch that defines much of Southern California architecture.
"It’s hard to believe it these days, but there was a time when modern-style homes were a difficult sell to affluent Los Angelenos, said Mr. Pali, who co-founded the award-winning studio SPF:a in the city with his partner Judit M. Fekete-Pali in 1990.
"'I was scrambling and scrounging around for work as a young architect. We were fighting the so-called good fight to do good Modernist architecture,' said Mr. Pali, 61. 'Now, certainly over the last five years, there's been a real move. In almost every home you see being built up in the hills here, there’s a modern bent.'"
