SPF:architects Wraps Los Angeles House in Asphalt Shingles for Fire Protection
DeZeen features Mountain Residence, a 1980s octagonal home reimagined by our co-founders Zoltan Pali and Judit Fekete-Pali as a contemporary live/work retreat that responds to California's evolving wildfire conditions. The exterior is wrapped in Class A fire-resistant asphalt shingles, creating a durable, low-maintenance envelope while the interior introduces modern, light-filled spaces.
