This New Law Could Create a Million New Apartments and Condominiums in California

Renzo Pali, Director at SPF:a, speaks on California's SB-79, a law that will reshape transit-oriented development (TOD) in Los Angeles by upzoning land near major transit stops, expanding where housing can be built and streamlining approvals for qualifying projects.

"Los Angeles Architecture firm SPF:architects has designed two proposed residential projects in Southern California that will be unveiled when the new law goes into effect July 1, said Renzo Pali, director of operations. 'Every city is now going to have some form of transit-oriented development-plan, whether it is what SB-70 prescribes outright, or their own version of, he said....'"
